Manjushree Plantations Limited (MPL) is a Birla enterprise with a multi-crop plantation nestled in the Nilgiri hills of Southern India. Incorporated in 1938, it comprises estates covering 22,000 acres in the verdant Nilgiri region, of which 5191 acres are under cultivation, leaving the rest as virgin forest, complemented by perennial streams and waterfalls.
MPL is a producer and supplier of quality coffee, tea and spices (cardamom, black pepper & clove) and markets a range of EXOTIC, SPECIALITY, HEALTH & WELLNESS TEAs under the MANJUSHREE Brand. We have our corporate/Marketing office at Kolkata and Bangalore.
The company traces its history to the Ouchterlony Valley estates also known as the O-Valley estates, one of the early growers of coffee in the region since 1842. Our estates - New Hope, Glenvans, Guynd, Kelly and Lauriston are contiguous and together comprise the plantation.
We also have a 110 acre farm in Hosur, off Bengaluru, producing market vegetables, fruits and flowers for the regional market.
